While Rummler & Gilbert called it Guidance in their 1970 newsletter – it was more popularly known as Job Aids when I learned about them in my first job out of college in 1979.
In the fall of 1979 I met Barry Boothe at MSIT – the Michigan Society for Instructional Technology – the NSPI (now ISPI) chapter in Detroit.
